Pineapple Wednesday

Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 10:22 AM

I was looking forward to a work mode Wednesday. I have had enough sleep despite the brownout and the excessive summer heat not to mention that we don't have any internet connection the whole day.

I came to work with a positive outlook that I will be
able to perform all the backlogs I had for the past 2 days also.

Got a recommendation from Gem about the report I have done for Payroll QA Audits. Pattern came from Emily and I thanked her for that.

What I am fuming about is how stupid and defensive people react about quality. It seemed like they have this demented thinking that quality is established for the sake of messing with operations. How they object to the thought of having somebody check what they are doing.. Well, quality and operations has always been on the opposite sides so I guess it is normal.

Another thing is that - I think Tweedledum and Tweedledee is talking behind my back. My boss not knowing about the process does not help either. Geez.. people here are so immature.

How I have always dreamed of working for this company. I thought it is of good quality and high standards.. Though as of the moment, realization has dawned to me how they lack in the ability to adapt to change and be open for improvements. They all boasts of who they are and what they have that they do not know how to accept their mistakes anymore.

Sigh. Nuff said.
This my world.
Crazy.

Sleepy

I am so darn sleepy. News stated that yesterday was recorded as the hottest day for 2010. And it was very difficult for me to sleep because of the heat. And to add the fact, that I have been sleeping on the floor and not on my bed since March. Summer has decided to start early. And don't get me wrong, I am a warm-blooded person, but I don't like to much heat because it makes me feel nauseous.

Second, my day at work started with a calibration and an interlock. By the time I went back to my desk, the desire to do the audits is not there - no matter how hard I try to concentrate. I ate lunch and burned my tongue since I did not have dinner and was too hungry to eat after the meeting.

And even if I have my gummy worms to keep me company, I am still sleepy.

Maybe this is PMS. I have had tantrums and picked fights with Hunny and my siblings since last Saturday when we watched Clash of The Titans - which by the way, is just a waste on money if you watch it on 3D. Since it is not like a 3D material (based on my own opinion). I should have just picked "How To Train Your Dragon" because it way much better than the former. I almost cried when Toothless fell into the fire just to save his master.

Anyways, I am still in search for an affordable tankini to wear on hunny's family outdoor swimming on April 17-18. I am trying to be on a tight budget. I haven't even saved anything that I am to be proud of for our SG trip. I know that Hunny is struggling since he has bills to pay. I don't want to say "I told you so.." when he looked disappointed yesterday because he has no more money left on his atm. I just want to support him.

We finally fixed the FF credit card mess we had before the Holy Week. Thank God for that. I was beginning to think that signing up for a 12 month contract is a spur of the moment decision. Though I honestly know that it has helped hunny control his weight. And it has given me the chance to attend yoga classes again.

Funny. I claim that I am sleepy but I still have the willpower to write and create this blog. I did not like wordpress since it is so darn difficult to change the themes.. I have also tried tumblr but it is blocked here in the office. I wanna write whenever I could to help channel my thoughts and emotions. I think, this is a good way as well in practicing my writing skills that was long forgotten.

I will try my best to write everyday. And will import my old entries from my previous blogs.
As for now, I will search for a good theme that would satisfy my kikay instinct..

Body Balance

I started joining the classes two weeks ago.
And now, I am loving every minute of it.

Halo

Remember those walls I built
Well, baby they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make up a sound

I found a way to let you in
But I never really had a doubt
Standing in the light of your halo
I got my angel now

It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
It's the risk that I'm takin'
I ain't never gonna shut you out

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace

You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo

Hit me like a ray of sun
Burning through my darkest night
You're the only one that I want
Think I'm addicted to your light

I swore I'd never fall again
But this don't even feel like falling
Gravity can't forget
To pull me back to the ground again

Feels like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
The risk that I'm takin'
I'm never gonna shut you out

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace

You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo

I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
Halo, halo

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace

You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo

I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo

Wiii!!!!

Finally! We bought Nintendo Wii. Hunny originally wanted a PS3 or an Xbox 360, but I told him that those are not chick-friendly game consoles. That is why he settled for the Wii. We went to 3 malls checking the prices and comparing the packages. We were able to find a good deal and bought the console, 2 controllers and 3 games. (one was for free)

Next agenda: a Television.. but this is to be determined since we are planning to go to Singapore in the middle of the year.

Fat Boys!

Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Agreed to have a battle;
For Tweedledum said Tweedledee
Had spoiled his nice new rattle.
Just then flew down a monstrous crow,
As black as a tar-barrel;
Which frightened both the heroes so,
They quite forgot their quarrel

Tweedledum and Tweedledee are fictional characters in an English language nursery rhyme and in Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There.

In the 2010 movie Alice in Wonderland, they were pertained as the "fat boys" of the Red Queen or the Queen of Hearts.

I cannot say I am having a hard time at work. For me, what I am going through is just a phase considering this is just my third month. I call the roadblocks as challenges. And behind these roadblocks are people who think they know everything. For me, I just call them "Tweedledum and Tweedledee".

This Year Going 30!

d0ngr3t: it's the surrounding that makes us want to feel like 30.

Hunny mentioned this to me at chat. We were talking about settling down and stuff. Funny, I don't feel like I am turning 29 this year. I don't look like one. (Good for me!)

Red Blue Blur

I have always been a fan of Superman. Watched Smallville since Season 1 and all the Superman movies. This photo was taken at Eastwood, one of the toy stores. I know how embarrassed Hunny was when I asked him to take this photo. But like what I said, "Walang basagan ng trip!"

I have so many scattered thoughts today. And I don't know how I would judge as to how my week has gone by.

It seemed like everything happened in a blur. I have been waiting and really praying to get in at IBS. I was somehow trying to think less of it during those two weeks of waiting.

And at last, Laks called me last Monday - saying that I passed and all that.
Instead of having job offer frist, did the pre-employment exam Tuesday.

Original start date should have been on the first of December. My dilemma was that fear of having my 13th month pay held back because of my plan to resign.

And then the remuneration was good - all those benefits are really, I don't know "captivating" so to speak. But all, including the allowance are TAXABLE. (Yeah, darn.)

So I did what I always do - THINK. And devise plans.. For me there is always Plan A and Plan B. Since I hate losing control over things.

And I worried. Which is inevitable. December is supposed to be like the money month. And if I decide to resign now - it felt like I am going to be the only person who is poor this coming holiday. (silly thought, I know.)
So I prayed - and hoped to God that if getting in is really in His plan, all would be smooth.
I again remembered Romans 8:28 "All things work together for the good.."

I was able to settle an agreement with my next company - and they agreed that I could start on the 16th instead. (Yipee!)
So Thursday, I signed the contract.
After a week of stress - it is over. FINALLY.

And as the week ends, I am trying to evaluate all that happened and get back to my own track.
Thanks to Hunny, who has always been supportive and was willing to listen to my rants and reasoning.

To my friends - who all gave their two cents on what I needed to do.
In the end, I think it all boils down to one thing. I can do and think and stress myself all I want.
But it is still HIS plan that prevails.

I have again, learned my lesson.
And I am grateful to God. Knowing that He still answers my prayers.
Even if I don't go to church that often.
I should be ashamed I guess.
