So, I promised to write a review about our stay at Casa Ibiza in Antipolo. If you have read my previous post, I got 50% off their usual rate for their Grand Villa from Cash Cash Pinoy which is a good deal. I bought two vouchers, one voucher is good for six persons plus free use of the cabana and complimentary breakfast the next day and the Grand Villa of course.
Before going there, I called in advance to ask if we are allowed to bring food. And the receptionist mentioned that yes we can, provided that they are just light meals that will fit in a 5x5 container, chips and water. Anything aside from that will ave corkage, Php77/person and if food that will be brought will be for big consumptions, that would cost us Php2000/dish (No, that is not a typo. It is really two thousand pesos) since they have a restaurant. So we decided to eat dinner outside the place since we haven't been there before and we are not sure if the food is great. I have seen their menu and aside from the prices, they have 10% service charge. I checked the internet for good places to eat near their location, there is Max's and Hap Chan that would take you 5-10mins of travel time from their place.
Check-in time was 1PM. We hired a van from a friend, arranged drop off and pick up since it is much cheaper. Good thing we also have GPS so it did not take us long unsure routes. If one is going to commute, tricycle would charge Php60 from the terminal (near Antipolo Church) to the place itself. We arrived there around 130 in the afternoon. I showed the Cash Cash pinoy voucher and they verified it from their list. The person in charge mentioned that the first room is already fit to use but as for the other, she asked for 20 minutes if we can wait while they clean it up.

Adult Pool |
Kiddie Pool |
The place was serene. There are only 2 pools. One for kids around 2 feet and the other for adults 4-5ft. There is an open restaurant and a couple of cabanas scattered in the place. The bigger part of the location consists of grass, possibly reserved for wedding, debuts and other occassions. There is a small playground for kids with little tykes but they needed to be cleaned up.
The Grand Villa
From the outside, the place looks small. It has 3 floors First is for the garage, second is for the dining room and living room, third is for the bedrooms. There is a master bedroom with one queen size bed, another mattress, a balcony and its own bathroom. Another bedroom for 2-3 persons which has only one bed and another single bedroom. There is also a separate bathroom outside the two latter bedrooms I have mentioned. All rooms are air-conditioned.

There are 2 doors in the ground floor, one connects to the garage and the other connects to the swimming pool and cabanas. The living room has a mini balcony and a flat screen tv, it has satellite cable though they have no remote. The dining room has a fridge and a dining set for 4 persons.
We were asked for food preference for the complimentary breakfast around 8pm which we are supposed to take 8am. We were up and ready by 7am and were called around 830am for breakfast, in which case the eggs are already cold.
The Restaurant
I cannot say much for the restaurant since we already decided to eat outside. You can check their menu here. Serving is good for 2-3 persons only. We are twelve and I think it is not practical if we are going to spend almost 4k for dinner. Dinner at HapChan only costs us 2k which already includes 3 yang chow rice, sallt and pepper squid, pancit canton, 2 wanton noodles, lemon chicken, half fried chicken and drinks.
My Take
- The place is serene, good place to hang out away from the crowd and is within the Metro.
- The food costs is way too high. (not to mention the 10% SC on top of the prices). A cup of coffee costs Php60 plus service charge. And the coffee itself is just a 3-in-1 coffee mix.
- The bathroom in our villa as well as in the other villa we took was a mess. (I was only informed by mom when we went home so I never had the chance to talk to their Guest Relations about this)
- The "pinagwalisan" was just piled in one corner. Don't they have a dust pan? They already asked for 20 mins to make the place serviceable.
** Update as of 03/07: Someone saw this post and asked for additional details regarding Casa Ibiza. The girl and her friends are already booked for the weekend. Three days before the date, Fitz Pabalan, a personnel who confirmed her booking, texted her and informed her that they "overbooked" and since they were the last person to book for the date, they can only give her and her friends 1 Grand Villa and 1 Deluxe Villa. Was it the girl's fault? No. Too bad that they can't change dates so they can get 2 Grand Villas because their leaves were already filed and approved. Clearly, I think someone needs to re-assess how the reservation system works. It is not as if they have more than 20 rooms for them to overlook certain dates. And they only use one computer/system for the booking, how hard is it to double-check first?
Thanks for your post. My friends just purchased an Ensogo voucher for Casa Ibiza & now I think they have to ask for a refund because of all the reviews I have been reading lately about how worse this place is.
