Work
2010 and a year with IBM gives me all sorts of emotions. This was, second to wishing to work in SG was a part of my goal. I refused a job offer from them way back 2007. And I did feel a little bit sorry since I did not take it, I am still happy so to speak. A friend of mine was the one who referred me to the QA lead for Center Quality Management. Usually, at interviews, I can gauge as to where the conversation is heading or at least I know if I am going to get the job or not. Meeting my soon-to-be boss that time was tricky. He was, no doubt busy since he kept on checking emails and using Same Time during the interview itself. I thought he was not so much interested so I had no idea if it went well or not.
Fortunately, it did. I started work December 16 of 2009. Changes had to be made. And I had to adapt fast - to my work, to my environment and to the people around me.
First CQM Strat Plan at La Mesa Eco Park was fun. A change of place was refreshing. Tiring since we played air gun in the middle of the day. And kinda shy eating lunch with everyone the boodle feast way.
A series of events followed. Mommy Gem's Baby Shower, the usual birthday treats, the CQM Year-end Party, IBM's Blue Cruise and the mini-Christmas party for the NS people.
I cannot say that all were good. But I can say that in 2010, God has been gracious to me. Everything happens in His time. I was not meant to work for IBM back in 2007 but I am here now. Well, I am content with this work as of now. Given the chance to find work in SG, I will take the offer. But here in the PH, I am settled here.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention. I am going to get my Six Sigma Yellow Certification by March.. (still keeping my fingers crossed). Yey!
